Wayne is currently the Executive Director and General Manager for the DeSoto County Regional Utility Authority. Prior to his position with DCRUA, Wayne worked for Entergy, retiring in the fall of 2022 as the Regional Manager of Customer Service for North Mississippi. He and his wife Vickie live in the Hernando area. They have three children and five grandchildren. They are members of Longview Point Baptist Church.

An Alabama native, Wayne grew up in Birmingham, attended Alliance Christian High School and graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Wayne is a graduate of both Leadership DeSoto and Leadership Mississippi.

Wayne currently serves on the board of directors for the DeSoto County Economic Development Council, having served on the Executive Committee as Chairman, and is a member of the board of governors for the Mississippi Economic Council and the Northwest Region Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He serves as President of the Mississippi Wildlife Rehabilitation board and as a member of the board of the newly formed Mid-South chapter of Safari Club International.
